Los Angeles Lakers – Hold

The Los Angeles Lakers need for nothing. Despite not being the top seed in the league at present they are widely considered to be the prohibitive favorite to repeat as champions. They have so much depth that Wes Matthews is just not finding his way back into the rotation.

That being said, there is nothing wrong with picking up a possible upgrade should one become available. Stowing a shooter or defender as the 15th man could pay dividends should an injury pop up down the line. While big men will be in high demand a reserve center could be interesting as well.

The Lakers depended on Dwight Howard in that role last season and while Montrezl Harrell is an offensive force off the bench he was played off the court last season. If Anthony Davis continues to struggle with lingering injuries it is even more worthwhile to add some depth.

Like the Bucks the most likely outcome is watching the deadline come and go before taking their pick of the best possible buyout candidates. This paid dividends last season with the Lakers ending up with Markieff Morris. Striking gold like that again is a step on the path to championship banner 18 hanging in the rafters of Staples Center. And a repeat is the ultimate prediction.
