NBA MVP Race Player Rankings: Luka Doncic finally breaks in

It hasn’t been the best week for Bradley Beal, but it hasn’t been the worst week either. His Washington Wizards are back in action after a near-two week layoff and even picked up a couple of wins, going 2-3 and since our last ranking.
Beal maintains his honorary spot in the top 10 because he leads the NBA in scoring at 33.3 points per game, but that gap is closing between himself and Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. When that lead is gone, he’s probably no more for this ranking himself.
Since last rank: 30.5 PPG, 9.0 APG, 7.3 RPG
Shooting splits: .435/.387/.857
Now that’s more like the Luka Doncic we were expecting to see this season. The Dallas Mavericks have been one of the teams hardest hit by COVID this season, but it looks like they’re coming around now. They are still 13th in the Western Conference with an 11-14 record, but they’ve won two straight and three of their last four games.
As their best player, Doncic is going to have to continue to deliver like this the rest of the season if they want to make any noise in the playoffs (or even get there for, that matter).
