Trade target to avoid No. 1: Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal‘s situation with the Washington Wizards has not been a walk in the park this season. For a player that has had a breakout season, leading the league in scoring at 33.3 points per game, the team has done outrageously terrible thus far.

The Wizards are 6-15 and possess the third-worst record in the entire NBA. We’ve reached a point where it seems like Bradley Beal’s best years are being wasted in Washington. As a result, the trade pot has started boiling.

Reading Washington’s state at this point, one would safely assume that, were they to finally part ways with Beal, they would immediately launch their rebuilding process. As a result, the best trade partners for them would include teams with plenty of young players and draft picks.

The New York Knicks are one of these teams. But as in LaVine’s situation, trading for Beal would require paying an astronomically large price for his services. A price that would perhaps leave him surrounded by role players…again.

The New York Knicks have a good thing going on right now. A few minor trades are always a good idea, as long as they don’t interfere with the team’s grand design. Even though there’s still a long way to contending, things are looking up in New York City. Do not mess this up.
