This Week: 2/8 at San Antonio Spurs, 2/9 at San Antonio Spurs, 2/11 vs. Orlando Magic, 2/13 vs. Brooklyn Nets

The individual performances for the Golden State Warriors this week were astounding. Outside of the middle game of the week, the overall team performances did not meet that level. The Warriors are hurting for size with both James Wiseman and Kevon Looney out of the lineup with injury. Every game the Warriors play in will be a shootout and sometimes that is just not enough.

Against the Boston Celtics, it was Stephen Curry showing out. He dropped 38 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in a losing effort against a game Boston squad. Looney left this contest midgame and the team was not able to close the gap in his absence.

Kelly Oubre Jr. decided to raise Curry’s challenge and dropped a career-high 40 points against the Dallas Mavericks in a monumental 31 point trouncing. Curry added 28 points and five other Warriors joined them in double figure scoring.

Finally came Saturday night in an instant classic where the Mavericks got their revenge. Despite the quality of win that it was, that was not the story. Curry put up an even better performance, erupting for 57 points. This capped off the week that saw three 50 point games across the league, a stunning offensive display.
