team. 211. . 9-9. Previous: 14th. Memphis Grizzlies. 17

Last Week: Beat San Antonio Spurs 133-102, Lost to Indiana Pacers 134-116, Lost to Houston Rockets 115-103, Lost to New Orleans Pelicans 118-109

This Week: 2/8 vs. Toronto Raptors, 2/10 vs. Charlotte Hornets, 2/12 at Los Angeles Lakers

Once winners of seven straight in a row, the clock struck midnight on the Memphis Grizzlies and now they have dropped three consecutive games. The good came earlier in the week when they had nine players in double figures and bodied the San Antonio Spurs.

Unfortunately, they would play the next day and then two days later. The Grizzlies would lose by 18 and 12, respectively in those games. Sometimes, the offense is just too even and ultimately that may be costing the Grizzlies wins.

For players who played in more than one game this week, eight posted a scoring average of double figures. Unfortunately, the highest of those averages was 14.5 points a night. No one was able to take over when the game was relying on someone stepping up and going off. The return of Jonas Valanciunas nearly accomplished that feat, as he had 23 points in 24 minutes.

Hopefully bringing back the emotional fulcrum that is Valanciunas spurs something along. This team needs to be more than what it has been over the week. Ja Morant specifically needs to take over more. He only averaged 13.5 points and 6.5 assists per game this week. As the leader, he needs to do more.
