The Chicago Bulls have a realistic shot at the playoffs

This year making the playoffs will be just a little bit easier than it has been in years before. That’s because the NBA announced that at the end f the regular season, seeds seven through ten in each conference will participate in a play-in tournament. If the regular season were to end today, the Bulls would be in 12th place. However, they are just two games behind the 10th seeded New York Knicks. With a lot of basketball left to be played, anything is possible.

The Chicago Bulls haven’t made the playoffs since 2017. That is a very long playoff absence for a franchise with a proud history. The addition of a play-in tournament gives the team additional motivation. Coby White’s contribution to helping the team get to within striking distance cannot be overlooked. If the team does get to the magical position of 10th place, their combination of youth and skill will make them a real threat to get into the final eight-team bracket.

In just his 2nd season, Coby White’s ability to knock down threes and his play-making are having a positive impact on a franchise in desperate need of good news. If he keeps this up, the team could find themselves back in the playoffs. Fans in the Windy City are hoping the front office keeps White and LaVine together for the long haul. If so, they could very well develop into one of the most dangerous back-courts in the league. Finding the right pieces is a huge part of becoming a winner. For the Chicago Bulls, the search for their point guard is over.
