It’s not lonely at the top, because there’s competition for the Atlanta Hawks guard

It can seem easy to pencil in Young in as a starter, but Jaylen Brown and Bradley Beal both should be considered as well.

With the absence of Jayson Tatum due to COVID-19 and Kemba Walker missing time to start the season, Brown took a big leap and shouldered most of the work for the Boston Celtics. The 24-year old is averaging 27.1 points while shooting 53 percent from the field. In one game this season, Brown made NBA history doing this:

Not only is Brown scoring at a high rate, but he’s guarding the best player on the opposing team as well. Him solidifying himself as a two-way threat this season should warrant him some serious consideration as an All-Star starter.

Beal on the other hand, continues to put up big offensive numbers for the Washington Wizards. He’s averaging 34.9 points which is the best in the league, but his team has the worst record in the league. Doesn’t this situation sound familiar?

Beal also missed two weeks of basketball due to contract tracing, which is one reason why his numbers are so high. If the voters add that into consideration, as well as his team not doing good, Beal could see himself as just a reserve, and not a starter. They always say your best ability is your availability.

Young has only missed two games this season, one from injury and the other from a game postponement. He’s leading the Hawks to one of their best starts of the season since 2016. He’s top 10 in scoring and top 5 in assists. He’s been playing like the best point guard in the Eastern Conference.

Like Dogecoin last week, the stock on Young being an All-Star starter is rising. If I were you, I’d buy it now.
