Washington Wizards. 30. team. 142. . 3-12. Previous: 30th

Last Week: Lost to San Antonio Spurs 121-101, Lost to Houston Rockets 107-88, Lost to New Orleans Pelicans 124-106, Lost to Atlanta Hawks 116-100

This Week: 1/31 vs. Brooklyn Nets, 2/2 vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 2/3 at Miami Heat, 2/5 at Miami Heat

The Washington Wizards have not won a game since Jan. 11, 2021. Yes, six of the contests since then have been postponed but the four losses this week must have the DC faithful feeling even more nervous about the slow start to their season.

Bradley Beal can only do so much. Over this week alone he posted a line of 34.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game but his efficiency is dipping (27.0 percent on 3-point shots this week) as he is being forced to do everything. The only other players to average double figures in points this week were Russell Westbrook (18.0) and Garrison Matthews (10.5). Yikes.

The team as a whole is just underwhelming. They were the lowest scoring team over the last week and also shot the worst from the field (39.7 percent) and from long range (29.1 percent). To make matters worse, they also ranked 24th in defensive rating over the last week. Nothing is going right for the Wizards.

Scott Brooks’ seat has to be getting hot as the Wizards continue to drop games. Coming into the season, the Wizards were projected to be a playoff caliber roster and are currently the worst team in the league by record. It is still early enough in the season that they could right the ship, but will they?
