New York Knicks: Lonzo Ball and 4 other win-now trade targets
Trade target No. 1: Bradley Beal
Speaking of players that are too good for their own teams, one can’t help but feel sad for Bradley Beal. This is the perfect example of one’s talents being wasted on a pitiful team with no chances of improvement.
Beal is currently leading the league in scoring, at a staggering 35.4 points per game. As a result, as one would expect, the Washington Wizards are sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings as we speak.
NBA fans around the world have started a movement to “free Bradley Beal”. About once every a few days, the internet manages to come up with a hilarious and totally unnecessary “coup d’etat”. This is definitely not one of them.
The chances that Beal remains a member of this Wizards team until the end of the season are slim to none. You’d pretty much have to be familiar with the routine by now. The term “trade rumors” quickly becomes “New York Knicks trade rumors”.
Trading for Beal will take a lot. More than any of the aforementioned stars, perhaps combined. Beal is at the pinnacle of his career and the Wizards are perfectly aware of that.
An offer of Randle, a few young players, as well as future draft picks might be enough to persuade them into accepting the deal. But then again, similar offers will be coming from 29 different ways.
