Trade target No. 4: Victor Oladipo

A name that has been circling around the news for the past few months is Victor Oladipo. These rumors became even more frequent once the Indiana Pacers decided to trade him to the Houston Rockets, a place he apparently doesn’t want to stay at in the long run.

Oladipo quickly became one of the league’s best shooting guards in Indiana, after a 2017-18 season where his list of accomplishments seemed to have no end. But unfortunately, after earning All-Star honors and winning the Most Improved Player award, misfortune struck.

After missing over 365 days of basketball activities, Oladipo returned to action and looked like he never left. Nevertheless, Unfortunately, due to the sudden emergence of other stars like Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon, the Pacers decided to part ways with him.

Now a member of the Rockets, his age as well as his expiring contract don’t seem to fit Houston’s rebuilding schematics. As per Victor, no player wants to waste the remaining years of their prime on a rebuilding team.

From Houston’s side of things, it looks like they either trade Oladipo away for some–though not many–assets, or use him for the remaining months of his contract and get nothing in return. If they choose to do the first, teams like the New York Knicks will be waiting to swoop in with a generous trade offer.
