9. team. 125. . 8-7. Previous: 15th. Atlanta Hawks

Last Week: Beat Minnesota Timberwolves 108-97, Beat/OT Detroit Pistons 123-115, Beat Minnesota Timberwolves 116-98

This Week: 1/24 at Milwaukee Bucks, 1/26 vs. LA Clippers, 1/27 vs. Brooklyn Nets, 1/29 at Washington Wizards

The Atlanta Hawks are back on track after playing three games against the dregs of the NBA. Trae Young is getting back to the free-throw line and is on a scoring tear. Over three games, he went off for 33.7 points, 9.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game and shot a blistering .500/.591/.821. The Steve Nash curse is removed and he looks like a potential MVP again.

Moving away from Young, Clint Capela had a great week. Against the Detroit Pistons, he put up a historic line of 27 points, 26 rebounds and five blocks. He continued the strong play throughout and averaged 21.0 points, 20.0 rebounds and 6.0 blocks a night for the three games. John Collins contributed in solid fashion (16.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks a game), fortifying the frontcourt for the Hawks.

The true test is coming this week. The Hawks will play the Milwaukee Bucks, LA Clippers and Brooklyn Nets at home over the course of four days. No longer will they be looking at the teams competing solely for the top pick in the draft (until they finish out the week with the Washington Wizards). If Trae Young can stay drawing fouls, however, the opponent may not matter.
