NBA top trade targets still available – Andre Drummond, Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers snuck their way into the four-team James Harden trade, acquiring Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince. Allen joins a center rotation already crowded by JaVale McGee and Andre Drummond, two veterans that could undoubtedly be on the move following this acquisition. In fact, one Eastern Conference executive told HoopsHypes’s Michael Scotto, “Drummond is definitely out of Cleveland,” after landing Allen, who is five years younger and better fits their rebuilding timeline.

If Drummond is made available, there will likely be teams communicating with Cleveland about a potential deal centered around the 27-year-old. Drummond is currently averaging a career-best 19.3 points while hauling down 15.8 rebounds per game. For teams that need an immediate boost in the frontcourt, Drummond is certainly an option if they can afford to take on his massive salary. The big man will make just over $28 million this season before becoming an unrestricted free agent, and he could be enticing for teams looking to add some size.

NBA top trade targets still available – Victor Oladipo, Houston Rockets

Victor Oladipo was reportedly unhappy with the Indiana Pacers, and him being traded to the Houston Rockets did not fix the situation. According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, Oladipo’s preferred destination remains Miami, and the Rockets could look to flip the disgruntled guard to another franchise if they choose to add more assets to their treasure chest.

Oladipo is starting to look like this old self after rupturing a quad tendon in January of 2019, currently playing at a near All-Star level. With the high-end play that he provides on either end of the floor, teams looking for an upgrade in the backcourt should be on the phone with the Rockets as we speak. After collecting his $21 million for this season, Oladipo will become an unrestricted free agent, but if a team is looking to go all-in for this season, he could be worth it.
