Brooklyn Nets depth option No. 1: Jordan Bell

The former NBA Champion with the Golden State Warriors, Jordan Bell, is currently connected to the Erie Bayhawks of the G-League is someone that the Nets should consider taking a look at if they want to go the younger route. Bell has not played anything close to meaningful minutes since the 2018-2019 season but he has still shown flashes of being an able shot blocker in a pinch.

The biggest selling point for Bell is that he is young, cheap and has some history playing with Kevin Durant. In his rookie season, he averaged 4.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 blocks per game. That was in only 14.2 minutes per game.

He has grown older and smarter over time and if he is given an increased opportunity (with only Jordan in the lineup he would) he should be capable of much more. Bell was acceptable in the two games he appeared in for the Memphis Grizzlies before the season paused last season. There may be nothing more than that old routine production there but it is worth the call rather than beating Jeff Green down having to guard centers night in and out behind Jordan. The bar is low for the first prospect on this list.
