Precious Achiuwa is helping the Miami Heat greatly

Doors and windows of opportunity were the talk last year, and it was very much the general consensus for the Miami Heat’s success last season. This season, the Heat can be expected to do it again because of their draft pick, Precious Achiuwa, a 6’8” forward.

Achiuwa is the perfect example of the rookies who fit well into their teams and is also a good example of progression in the league. Miami is a perfect fit for Achiuwa, especially after losing forward Jae Crowder. The small forward/wing position is something the Heat mastered last season with the help of Crowder and Andre Igoudala, and they are continuing it.

Achiuwa’s explosive nature shows off the Heat’s ability to scout talent. The young wing is likely to fill depth and position needs for the Heat and play at a high level that many teams need. It helps that the rookie has a good shooting arm, which adds to the current culture in Miami.

The rookies, like Precious Achiuwa, have proven quickly why they were drafted when they were drafted by their teams, and they are likely to keep impressing a league full of vets, coaches, players, fans and experts. They are working for their teams and building toward an unpredictable, yet exciting future.
