1. Is it time to pursue any trades?

As wholesome as it has been so far watching quality Knicks basketball on any given night, one would have to think long-term. Realistically speaking, the chances of this team being able to keep this up for 60 more games are pretty low.

Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton and Reggie Bullock have all performed way above expectations so far. Austin Rivers and Alec Burks have impressed too in the limited time we’ve seen them perform. As a result, should the team capitalize on their increased trade values?

As great as these players are, very few people view them as future cornerstone pieces. If the people up in the headquarters agree with the popular vote, now is the time to pull the trigger on a franchise-turning trade.

Some of the most talked-about stars include Bradley Beal, Buddy Hield, Victor Oladipo and Ben Simmons. The latter two would fit Thibodeau’s playstyle like a glove, given their defensive respective prowess.

Even though it would be fun to stick with this team and see what their ceiling actually is, disemboweling it seems like the wise thing to do. Embrace yourselves for a stampede of trade rumors come trade deadline time.
