4. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

PPG: 29.6 RPG: 5.1 APG: 6.3 Shooting splits: .446/.356/.950

Rumors of Stephen Curry‘s demise appear to have been greatly exaggerated. After some talking heads in studios and loud voices on social media tried to shovel dirt on Steph’s grave, he went out and dropped 62 points on Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

After a cold start to the season, Curry is heating up. Over his last four games he’s averaging 32.4 points per game and shooting 41.8 percent from 3-point range. It took some doing, but it looks like Steph is indeed back.

3. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks

PPG: 26.1 RPG: 10.9 APG: 5.4 STL: 1.4 BLK: 0.9 Shooting splits: .521/.250/.616

Like LeBron, Giannis Antetokounmpo is just kind of chilling so far this season. It tells a whole story that Giannis in low-gear can still give you 26, 11 and 5 every night, but that’s where we’re at after eight games. The Milwaukee Bucks are 5-3, which is a bit underwhelming for this regular season juggernaut, but their +12.9 net rating is even better than last season’s dominant +9.4.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Giannis crank things up sooner than later this season as coasting into the playoffs is not exactly this team’s style.
