10. CJ McCollum, Portland Trail Blazers

PPG: 27.7 APG: 5.4 RPG: 4.1 Shooting splits: .458/.430/.833

CJ McCollum has gotten off to a blistering start for a disappointing 3-4 Portland Trail Blazers squad, but it’s no fault of his so far. He’s putting up ridiculous shooting numbers, hitting 4.9 of his 11.3 3-point attempts per game and he’s fifth in the NBA in scoring.

His teammate Damian Lillard will surely make these power rankings before long, but right now McCollum has been the man in Portland and he deserves every bit of attention and credit he’s receiving.

9. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

PPG: 26.3 RPG: 7.3 APG: 4.0 Shooting splits: .468/.451/.886

Jayson Tatum‘s ascent to legitimate NBA superstar is well underway for the Boston Celtics. It couldn’t come at a better time for this team either with Kemba Walker out of action for the foreseeable future.

His squad needed him to step up and he’s done so in a big way with a career-high usage rate of 30.3 percent and production to match. Tatum’s teammate Jaylen Brown may find himself on this list in the coming weeks, but today is Tatum’s day.
