3-2. Previous: 9th. Utah Jazz. 12. team. 118.

Last Week: Beat Oklahoma City Thunder 110-109, Lost to Phoenix Suns 106-95, Beat the LA Clippers 106-100

This Week: 1/3/2021 at San Antonio Spurs, 1/5/2021 at Brooklyn Nets, 1/6/2021 at New York Knicks, 1/8/2021 at Milwaukee Bucks

The Utah Jazz continue to be fine if unimpressive. They barely squeaked past a clearly less talented Oklahoma City Thunder team and were rushed off the floor by the rising Phoenix Suns. Just when many would want to begin to worry about the week they had, Utah secured a win over the LA Clippers.

The Jazz are simply still finding themselves. Donovan Mitchell is highly inefficient to start the season which is one of the more slept on narratives of the season. It is easy to criticize the composure of the team having been built around a center in the modern-day. However, the pressure falls equally on Mitchell and Bojan Bogdanovic for their inefficient start to the season.

Beyond that, the Jazz will have better weeks than this. They will eventually build up their win total and Mitchell should round into form. For now, however, the roster leaves plenty to be desired. Gobert has been very good to start the season, as is expected. Mike Conley seems to be on a revenge tour this season.

If only they could figure out the bench beyond the suddenly well-paid Jordan Clarkson. Derrick Favors and Joe Ingles have been fine yet uninspired. Georges Niang is less so and then the drop-off is drastic.
