24. team. 41. . 0-2. Previous: 14th. Golden State Warriors

Last Week: Lost to Brooklyn Nets 125-99, Lost to Milwaukee Bucks 138-99

This Week: 12/27/2020 at Chicago Bulls, 12/29/2020 at Detroit Pistons, 1/1/2021 vs. Portland Trail Blazers

For those who thought that the team would look to be competitive simply by getting Steph Curry back on the court, the first two games have not been kind. Curry has been just okay and the rest of the team has mostly been lost.

In the first game, fans were treated to some impressive dunks by Kelly Oubre Jr. and some flashes from number two pick James Wiseman. Against the Milwaukee Bucks, Oubre disappeared and Wiggins hit his stride a little more. Which is to say he made six of his 18 shots.

The offense is a mess and the defense is worse and is likely to be so until (at least) Draymond Green comes back. The team, unfortunately, played against what look to be the two best teams in the Eastern Conference but they did not feel like they belonged at all.

. 0-2. Previous: 20th. Memphis Grizzlies. 23. team. 211

Last Week: Lost to San Antonio 131-119, Lost to the Atlanta Hawks 122-112

This Week: 12/28/2020 at Brooklyn Nets, 12/30/2020 at Boston Celtics, 1/1/2021 at Charlotte Hornets

Two games in and it is clear the Memphis Grizzlies are lamenting injuries to key pieces Jaren Jackson Jr., Justice Winslow and De’Anthony Melton. Ja Morant has put up 41 and 28 points respectively and the team has been unable to get things done so far.

The team was better in the second game as all five starters finished in double figures. But the team shot a rough 39.8 percent from the field. That is something only talent can fix. They are playing deeper into their bench than they are made to do and are paying for it.
