With the 2020-2021 NBA season in full-effect, the Memphis Grizzlies have a deep roster, so who could sneak into the lineup and who could possibly break-in?

The Memphis Grizzlies have not changed the roster significantly this offseason. There isn’t a lottery draft pick who needs to be inserted into the starting lineup, and there isn’t a free agent who would immediately start.

Thier most notable moves were re-signing De’Anthony Melton to a four-year, $35 million dollar deal, and drafting Desmond Bane and Xavier Tillman with the 30th pick and 35th pick, respectively. Memphis’ biggest loss (if you even consider it a loss) was their flyer on Josh Jackson, who now plays for the Detroit Pistons.

The Grizzlies last season had a standout season, making it to the play-in game without Jaren Jackson Jr. before losing to the Portland Trail Blazers.

They will start the season the way they ended it, riddled with injuries. Jackson is recovering from a torn left knee meniscus surgery and Justice Winslow is currently rehabbing from a left hip displacement

The starting lineup with be flexible to start the season. The already mentioned Jackson and Winslow will be missing time, plus rosters have been expanded to 15 active players due to COVID concerns — meaning all NBA starting lineups will need to be malleable.

The core starters from last season will likely remain as starters, but who are the guys who can fill in the gaps on the wing and possibly sneak into the prestigious title of starter?
