The Charlotte Hornets have one of the best lineups in the league this season, and here’s what they need to do with all of the gifts they possess.
The Charlotte Hornets are making a lot of buzz around the league. Since drafting the much-talked-about LaMelo Ball with the No. 3 pick, the Hornets have landed a superstar to build around for the future. Or, at least it’s a start. The 6’8″ slashing playmaker scores, handles the ball and makes plays. He’s a true floor general who will help the Hornets, but how will the Hornets help LaMelo?
Charlotte went out and signed Gordon Hayward in free agency. Hayward’s time with the Boston Celtics went awry as soon as he started having injury problems. Hayward and the Hornets hope to play around Ball, however, how much help will just the two of them be?
Charlotte’s roster currently sits at 16 players, and the team at first glance has a bit of everything. The Hornets have locks, fringe and potential break-ins, and a lot is at stake in each category. Players like Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham have returned, then you have PJ Washington and Miles Bridges, but what does this all mean for the Hornets? Does this mean they will make a run in LaMelo’s first year? There are a lot of new teams rising this season, and the LaMelo Ball-lead Hornets are among them and they certainly will be giving a lot of different looks on the floor.
So, there are a lot of questions like those above regarding the Hornets, and their intriguing new lineup may have answers. I will look at the locks, fringe, and potential break-ins for the Hornets this season.
