Khris Middleton carried the Milwaukee Bucks to a win on Christmas Day while showing how valuable his underrated contributions are once again.

It was a special Christmas Day for the Milwaukee Bucks and its organization as they defeated the Golden State Warriors 138-99 behind another outstanding performance from Khris Middleton.

In what was the first Christmas Day basketball game for the Bucks in the city of Milwaukee since 1968, Middleton made it rain from all over the place while maximizing his overall contributions.

His superstar teammate, Giannis Antetokounmpo, struggled with just 15 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists on 28.6 percent field goals and was haunted by free throws again as he went an abysmal 7-15 from the line during the contest. Nevertheless, Khris Middleton was absolutely spectacular throughout the game, leading the team to victory.

The two-time consecutive All-Star posted 31 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals on 66.7 percent shooting and 75.0 percent from beyond the arc on six made 3’s in only 26 minutes. Middleton continues to prove to the world that he’s one of the most efficient and consistent scorers in the NBA.

There’s been skepticism over the years whether or not Khris Middleton can become a second option on a championship-caliber team. Well, it’s safe to say that he’s certainly capable of becoming that man despite all the doubts.

Middleton has gathered some uncalled-for disrespect from the media throughout his inspiring career that began in the developmental league (now called the G League). Most recently, Khris was snubbed from making the 2019-2020 All-NBA Third team after a career season in which he was 0.3 percent away from joining Larry Bird, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry as the only players in NBA history to average more than 20.0 points per game on 50-40-90 percent shooting averages.

Following an incredible regular season last year that gained him a considerable amount of respect from across the league, Middleton isn’t done putting respect on his name. He’s already in excellent form through the first two games of the 2020-21 NBA season, and he’s set for an even more impressive year with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Khris may not be an athletic, dominant force on the court like his Greek teammate, but his efficiency shooting the basketball combined with his skilled footwork, high IQ, craftiness, non-stop motor, and improved leadership has made him an extremely valuable piece to the success of the Bucks. He’s identified himself as one of the top second options in the league with his two-way skill set.

The 29-year-old continues to improve his numbers while making a strong impact on and off the floor, and he’ll look to utilize his overall contributions toward the ultimate goal of winning an NBA championship with the Bucks.

If Middleton can consistently keep up these sensational performances throughout the entire season, the Bucks are going to have a very good chance of claiming its second title in franchise history. In addition, he may be destined to earn the All-NBA honor that he deserves.

It was a “Merry Khristmas” for the Milwaukee Bucks, and it signified that Khris Middleton is headed toward another efficient season with determined eyes set on a glorified championship.
