Anthony Davis’s rise and 7 other must-watch NBA stories
8. Can the LA Clippers erase last season’s stain?
KD and Kyrie aren’t the only duo worth all of our time, money, and attention in the league, as Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are still together in L.A. After an awful playoff run, the success of the Clippers and with the duo was in jeopardy. But this year could be different. Much different.
Leonard and George are both smart basketball players who will figure it out on the other team in L.A. as they are expected to. The Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets are teams who tested the Clippers last season, and they’ll probably test them again this season.
What Kawhi and PG have to do isn’t easy to pinpoint, but it is clear that this duo is still hard to beat and it won’t take much for them to regroup if they stick together and play with their best basketball skills.
With a new coach and staff coming in this season, the organization is fresh and the two superstars can do what they can to make their run worth their time and everyone else’s time.
Kawhi is known for leading franchises to a championship all by himself, and he can look to that for inspiration if he really wants to win, and his teammate, PG13, or “Pandemic P,” can look to his past with a franchise, the Indiana Pacers, for this as well to win. The goal for the Clippers this year is to win when it matters, make a run in the playoffs, and not lose 3-1 streaks in the playoffs.
