3. Andrew Wiggins’ role with the Warriors is a major question mark

The Warriors have a new look after drafting James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick and signing free agents during the offseason to complete their lineup. Still, Andrew Wiggins will be the determining factor for the Warriors success. Wiggins came to Golden State last season via trade that sent D’Angelo Russell to the Timberwolves in exchange for the then T-Wolves starting wingman.

Wiggins’ role with the Warriors has yet to be seen in its full potential, as injuries plagued the Warriors last season – and without Steph and Klay – a glance at the new trio wasn’t a fair look. Thompson tore his achilles in practice just before preseason began this season again, so there won’t be a trio this year either. However, there will be Wiggins and Curry, and there are other stars in Wiseman, Jordan Poole, Eric Paschall, Draymond Green, Marquese Chriss, Damion Lee, Kent Bazemore, Kevon Looney, and their head coach Steve Kerr.

Wiggins will have to play a much larger role with the Warriors than he did in Minnesota. His bigger role will impact the team and him personally, as Wiggins can be a likely All-Star candidate this season. With his skill of shooting and dunking, the two-way forward’s NBA career could reach a turning point this season, so he can’t play timid behind Curry. He will be much help to Curry this season and the next to remain a mainstay of the Golden State franchise. We all like when the Warriors win, and a player like Andrew Wiggins can help them and is fun to root for, also.
