1. How successful will the Brooklyn Nets be?

The duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant has been much anticipated since it was announced last season that the pair had been signed to the Nets roster, so the Brooklyn Nets are expected to make all of the noise in the league, or at least, a lot of it.

KD and Kyrie are expected to do what most duos are expected to do: play together, play exciting basketball, and win games for their team, and lead their team. There are many answers to the league’s problems in this pairing of two All-Stars and NBA Champions, but questions also linger. Does this mean Brooklyn will win a championship? Will they make it to the playoffs? How successful, truly, will Brooklyn be with Durant and Irving?

The answer to those questions are likely all “yes.” It isn’t all marketing or creative decision-making which brought the pairing together that will make them successful. The pairing of the two superstars looks good on paper, along with Steve Nash as their head coach, and leading a team in a big city. But it isn’t just the fancy initials of “KD” and the nicknaming of Kyrie “Uncle Drew” that will bring success to Brooklyn or noise to the league, it is their hard work and basketball that will lead them atop the Eastern conference and into the playoffs in hopes of winning a championship.

The success of the Brooklyn Nets should mirror the successes of their competition, the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, and Dallas Mavericks have all climbed the ladder of success and made it to their destinations. The Brooklyn Nets should be expected to do no less than this. A successful playoff run and a few championships should be in the Nets’ near future.
