3. Buddy Hield

It only seems fair, right? Trading an unsettled, yet talented scorer, for one of his peers.

Buddy Hield has been one of the league’s highest-scoring shooting guards for a few years now, though it is still unknown whether the Sacramento Kings view him as a building piece moving forward or as a possible trade chip.

Hield spent a big portion of the past season as the team’s 6th man, averaging just under 20 points per game. He has already become one of the league’s most accurate shooters and now has a contract that reflects his production, starting this season.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, who was used in the starting lineup ahead of Hield, is now out of Sacramento, as the Kings refused to match the offer set by the Atlanta Hawks. Unfortunately for Hield, the drafting of Tyrese Haliburton might yield different plans for Luke Walton.

A simple, straight-up swap deal between these two out of favor players seems enough to satisfy both teams.

The New York Knicks untangle themselves from the whole Randle vs. Toppin situation and receive a pure scorer. After a season of struggling behind the arc, the Knicks are prepared to improve their shooting, with a 41.1 career percent shooter in Hield doing exactly so.

From a westside standpoint, the Kings acquire a player that is turning out to be exactly what they hoped Marvin Bagley III would be. Both are paint-dominant power forwards and Randle can pick up at those times when Bagley is struggling with an injury, something that happens a lot.
