2. Build team chemistry

Every team that added new players this offseason is going through the same problem.

A shortened offseason, a two-week training camp, and only four preseason games.

That’s not much time to get team chemistry together, especially with nine new players on the roster.

The Hawks have some good players on their team, but it won’t mean a thing if they don’t know how to play together.

These players need to know where their teammates like to shoot the ball, where they’re going to be on the court, and when to help out on both sides of the court.

We’ve seen teams like the 2018-2019 Boston Celtics and the 2019-2020 Clippers have amazing talent, but couldn’t get the job done because they didn’t have chemistry.

It’ll be up to the Hawks to build chemistry quickly and on the fly this season. Teams that have already been together for an extended period of time will be fine and ahead of the curve, and the Hawks need to play keep up if they want to see themselves in the postseason.
