With James Harden keen to move to a new destination, here are some pros and cons the Miami Heat need to consider when contemplating such a move.

The news first came to light in the local Miami media, and has now gradually gathered steam into the national spotlight. That is that James Harden has favored the Miami Heat as a new home.

Initially reported by Adam Borai of the Five Reasons Sports Network on Twitter on Nov. 12, the larger NBA audience was recently brought the news from Shams Charania that the Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks had been added to an original list of preferred teams for Harden, being the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

With long-time general manager Daryl Morey and head coach Mike D’Antoni both departing the Houston Rockets this past offseason, and Russell Westbrook also leaving in a deal for John Wall, Harden has made it clear that he feels his time is up in a city in which he was selected as an All-Star in each of his eight seasons.

A six-time selection to the All-NBA First Team, a three-time scoring champion and the 2018 NBA MVP, Harden’s resume and accomplishments are undeniable. But despite these phenomenal returns, every genius has their own flaws.

It’s worth noting that South Florida Sun Sentinel reporter Ira Winderman has stated that the Miami Heat are out of the running for Harden, but that could be mere posturing or a stance that could change as the trade deadline nears later in the season.

So with this in mind, here are the major pros and cons to consider when orchestrating a deal for James Harden.
