Detroit Pistons tier 2 players

Svi Mykhailiuk: B+

One of the standouts of the preseason, Svi Mykhailiuk was a flamethrower from long range. He played just 13.3 minutes per game but shot 40.7 percent from the floor and a sparking 45.0 percent from 3-point range. Time will tell whether Mykhailiuk starts at shooting guard for the Pistons when the season starts, but he certainly stated his case in the preseason.

Mason Plumlee: B

Maybe Mason Plumlee can’t catch passes, but that doesn’t hurt his own playmaking ability. He showed off his skills multiple times in the preseason, and while his offensively limited teammates weren’t able to follow through often enough, his passes and vision put them in positions to capitalize.

Killian Hayes: C

As a rookie point guard in the NBA, the 19-year-old Killian Hayes will likely not have a particularly impressive season. That’s just the nature of things for players in his position, and it’s not a mark against his quality of play or his future. He showed some real flashes in the preseason, but he has work to do. There’s nothing wrong with that, but he’s firmly in the second tier of preseason performers as a result.
