. . Sacramento Kings. 26. team. 84.

Dearly Departed: Kent Bazemore, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Corey Brewer, Yogi Ferrell, Harry Giles, Alex Len

New Additions: Tyrese Haliburton, Jahmi’us Ramsey, Robert Woodard, Frank Kaminsky, Glenn Robinson III, Hassan Whiteside

Win Projection/Prediction: 27.5/Under

Now back to the butt of the jokes around the league, what are the Sacramento Kings doing? The draft was a good start to the proceedings. Tyrese Haliburton is a great compliment to their roster and should be able to contribute immediately. Robert Woodard and Jahmi’us Ramsey have solid potential and fit the roster well.

Then the rest happened and it just leads to further questions. Harry Giles III has so much promise. Letting him walk for the minimum was bound to bring questions unless you decided to go with a different style of big man. Instead, they brought in Hassan Whiteside and Frank Kaminsky. Somehow this was not the worst moment of the Kings’ time off.

The Bogdan Bogdanovic saga was messy from the jump. For it to culminate with Sacramento not matching his offer sheet and losing such a promising player for absolutely nothing is disastrous. This team will needs all the assets and talent it can find.

It is not all bad for the Kings. De’Aaron Fox may have taken a step back last season but he is still the face of this franchise. He should be ready to take a step back in the right direction after inking a max contract extension.

Marvin Bagley III may finally be healthy. He has been productive when he is able to stay on the court. Jettisoning Bodganovic likely gets Buddy Hield back into the starting lineup which may be able to solve some of their issues. Now if only the Kings could do something about having Luke Walton as their head coach.
