14. team. 41. . . . Golden State Warriors

Dearly Departed: Ky Bowman

New Additions: James Wiseman, Kelly Oubre, Kent Bazemore, Brad Wanamaker, Nico Mannion

Win Projection/Prediction: 39/Under

Before Klay Thompson broke NBA Twitter’s hearts with his most recent injury, the Golden State Warriors were primed to contend for home court in the Western Conference. Without him, things get tougher but the Warriors should still be a playoff contender at a minimum.

Stephen Curry is still one of the absolute best players in the league and will be on a revenge tour the likes of which the league may not be ready for. The spacing and passing he brings will rejuvenate this roster (looking at you, Draymond Green) and the league is more fun with him bombing four feet behind the arc.

The rest of the roster is fun too. Kelly Oubre Jr. should take off in this system and is in a contract year. He is better than most casual fans realize and will be out to prove that this season. Kent Bazemore is one of the most beloved teammates in the league and should be a solid 3-and-D option. Brad Wanamaker is a sound defensive option next to the sieve that is Curry.

James Wiseman is the key to their success this season. He fits exactly what this team needs and should be able to thrive with all the space playing with someone like Curry provides. The role he is required to fill for this team is perfect for a young player trying to find his legs. This may not be the Warriors of three years ago but they will still be a threat every night.
