Goal No. 2: Get to the line more.

One thing that Ingles has never done with any regularity is getting to the free-throw line. He has only averaged 0.9 attempts per game for his entire career. This is an area where Ingles needs to improve to move his game forward.

For the last three seasons, Ingles has managed to get to the line 1.0 times or more. Two seasons ago he had a career-high 1.5 attempts from the free-throw line. Last season this number dropped back to 1.3 per game. This is not a high enough number for a player who gets 30 minutes per game.

Ingles is not a great shooter from the line, only connecting on 75.1 percent of his attempts. He does have a really deceptive ability to penetrate into the lane. He is then able to get the pass off for an easy two for any of his teammates, especially Rudy Gobert.

If he was a little more selfish on occasion, he would shoot the ball more from inside, potentially drawing more fouls. This has the impact of keeping the scoreboard ticking over but also getting opposing players into foul trouble.

Ingles will be a great floor spacer for a couple more seasons, the Jazz needs him to grow his inside game. This will allow him to draw more fouls and may help the Jazz get into the next echelon of teams near the top in the West.
