2. Kyle Kuzma will remain a Laker for the entire season

A name that seems to pop up all the time when discussing Lakers rumors and potential trades to improve the roster is Kyle Kuzma. It happened during the Anthony Davis trade rumor semester and kept happening until the Lakers acquired Dennis Schroder without having to give him up.

Being the only relatively young player on the roster with some sort of trade value, Kuzma would be the obvious man out if the Lakers started to underperform. But the question is, will they?

Even though this newly-formed team has yet to play a game together, the roster seems like a very strong one. With multiple talented players at each position both on the defensive and offensive end, this looks like a recipe made for success.

In addition, LeBron might look to continue his minute-reduction process and could begin spending even more time on the bench this time out. Despite being the human tank that he is, putting a minute restriction on arguably the greatest athlete of all time seems like the right thing to do at this point of his career in a shortened season.

Kuzma on the other hand is now entering his prime at 25 years of age. Having blossomed very early during his first couple of seasons in the league, Kuzma has already put his mark in the league as a very talented player and a near-20 point per game scorer.

After a season filled with negativity and bad critics, Kuzma’s 2020-21 season could define his entire career moving forward. Having averaged 20.9 points per game as a starter last season, the Lakers might wanna hold onto a good alternative to LeBron during his resting days.
