After pretty much shaking up the entire roster, fans of the New York Knicks around the globe have no idea what to expect from their team.
The 2020-21 NBA season tip-off is just a few short weeks away and these newly-formed New York Knicks will be back in action, with the downside of playing away from their fans due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The Knicks will have to get accustomed to playing in a much less energized arena. What once was a totally surreal experience for every NBA team visiting, will now, unfortunately, echo into silence.
However, that does not mean that the squad can’t go ahead and have a promising season where they could reunite with the fans sooner rather than later. With a ton of new players coming in, you really don’t know what aspirations this team actually has.
In an offseason quid pro quo, the Knicks decided to go an entirely different route than their 2019-20 campaign. Instead of signing experienced veterans, they chose to rebuild based on the talent they possess.
As a result, the New York Knicks will go forth with the 2020-21 season while having not one, not two, but a total of ten players with two or fewer years in the NBA. With the rotation so heavily influenced by a mob of rookies, sophomores and such, a good coordinator is needed.
The front office managed to fulfill that need by inking Tom Thibodeau to a contract as the team’s new head coach and the one to take them forward. Thibodeau has a good reputation for managing his young talent, bringing excitement to every Knicks fan’s life for once.
Call it an advantage or a drawback, being located in the brightest city on Earth must come with its surprises. Here are some bold predictions for this incredibly young, yet exciting 2020-21 New York Knicks team.
