MVP

Stephen Curry (+800)

Stephen Curry has the third shortest odds of any NBA player to win MVP, but winning the trophy would net bettors a cool 8/1 payout for something that is entirely possible.

While it has been some time since we saw Curry play meaningful minutes, there is plenty of reason to believe that he still has the skillset to make a case for MVP. He will be motivated, too. After nearly a half-decade of dominating the league, Curry and company have been placed on the back burner while teams like the Lakers and the Clippers hog all the attention. We have not seen the sharp-shooting point guard with such motivation to get his spot at the top back, and I’m banking on a Curry resurgence in 2020-’21.

Most Improved Player

Marvin Bagley (+2800)

Marvin Bagley is a prime candidate to win the NBA’s Most Improved Player award. He is entering his third season and will be 22 years old by the end of it, putting him in the perfect age window to be able to take home the hardware. Two of the last four winners of the award were age 22.

He has plenty to prove and has the necessary skill set to make some drastic improvements this year. Despite all of the unfair comparisons to Luka Doncic, Bagley is still an ultra-talented prospect, and there was a reason that he was taken near the top of his draft class. Throw in the fact that the Sacramento Kings will be looking for reliable scoring options, and the +2800 next to Bagley’s name becomes pretty attractive.
