2. Montrezl Harrell

Similar to Schroder, the acquisition of Montrezl Harrell was a much-desired one by the entire Lakers fanbase. Snatching away one of the most talented and vital players of their inner-city enemy brought instant joy to all purple-and-gold enthusiasts.

The current holder of the 6th Man of the Year award was always a force to be reckoned with when playing the Clippers, causing constant havoc inside the paint, despite lacking in size. Harrell’s hustle and passion for the game make up for every single one of his weaknesses.

To be fair to him, he did manage to have a career-best year despite the fact that his team went from being a fringe playoff team, to a clear-cut contender. As a result, we should give him the benefit of the doubt that he can maintain his elite level of play with the Lakers.

Unfortunately, as in Schroder’s case, the odds are against Trez. LeBron and Davis will be using the paint much more than his previous pair of superstars, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. This is bound to leave Harrell with very little room to wobble.

Additionally, come playoff time, Marc Gasol’s championship experience will most definitely get him a plethora of minutes ahead of Harrell, due to his defensive prowess and extremely high basketball IQ.
