After a series of successful offseason roster moves, some members of the Los Angeles Lakers are bound to kick back for the sake of the team.

Fresh after winning the 2020 NBA Championship, the Los Angeles Lakers had one of the best offseasons of all-time by a champion. They managed to add to their immense talent while simultaneously offloading a couple of their bad contracts.

To sum up, they replaced Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Danny Green, Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee with the likes of Dennis Schroder, Wesley Matthews, Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell.

As rare as it may be to shift the majority of the roster after winning the Larry O’Brien trophy, you gotta hand it to Rob Pelinka for putting together the best roster possible to repeat. He knows that the Lakers are an aging team and wants to make sure he does all the “win-now” moves.

Last but not least, they were able to retain Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Markieff Morris, Quinn Cook and the league’s best bench coordinator, Jared Dudley. All these moves were more than enough to convince LeBron James and Anthony Davis to commit to the organization, both inking new contracts within a matter of days.

When building a contender, there are bound to be a few players that fall behind. Realistically speaking, not everyone can break out and perform at a high level as the minutes are not enough for such a talented group of guys.

With LeBron and Davis clearly leading the line, the rest of the starting spots seem to be up for grabs. Which of these Lakers will step up to the task, and which of them will let their guard down and risk limiting their production?
