25. Jamal Murray
One of the biggest risers in the NBA bubble in Orlando, Jamal Murray shirked off some of the negativity that has followed him for being slightly inconsistent in the past and was an absolute star. He dropped 50 twice in the first round against the Utah Jazz and embodied what Comeback Kids Denver Nuggets really were this year.
It was a disappointing regular season for the fourth year guard. Some expected a major leap and instead he was about the same as the year before. At times he would look like a perennial All-Star, the ideal partner next to Nikola Jokic. Other nights he would be inefficient and disappear. This is not something the Nuggets can be comfortable with going forward if they hope to maintain a similar level of success.
This year he has the confidence of a stellar playoff run and hopefully, that will help him build some consistency too. The Nuggets as a whole have taken a step back and internal development will be essential. If Murray can be the player he was in Orlando the team will not skip a beat. We shall see if that holds true to form, because he was one of the most entertaining players to behold.
