After a very successful start to the 2020 offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers must seek to fill some minor roles as they attempt their repeat.

If the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t considered as the winners of the 2020 offseason, then they’re certainly up there with the best of ’em. Who would’ve thought, that they would be able to improve their roster, while simultaneously weakening their biggest opponents.

The more significant moves they pulled the trigger on included trading for Dennis Schroder and signing Montrezl Harrell, Marc Gasol and Wesley Matthews via free agency. All 3 of these signings are thought to be as some of the best “value-for-money” deals of the offseason.

The Lakers were also able to retain Markieff Morris and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, with Anthony Davis set to follow in the following days. Given the considerable improvement of the squad, the team was willing to part ways with Danny Green, JaVale McGee, Avery Bradley, Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo.

Even though the current roster seems ready to compete for the championship, a few roster spots remain up for grabs. As a result, the front office has the opportunity to further improve upon this squad of title-favorites.

As of today, the Lakers have four remaining roster spots which can be used to approach useful veteran free agents.

Honorable mentions: Reggie Jackson, Taj Gibson, Shabazz Napier
