Who is actually on this Detroit Pistons roster?

There are just four returning faces from a season ago, assuming things hold as they are and no Piston free agents end up re-signing. They are Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and Sekou Doumbouya.

Other than this year’s draft picks, Doumbouya is the only player on this team who was actually drafted by the Pistons. Speaking of this year’s draft picks, they have Killian Hayes, who they drafted seventh overall, Isaiah Stewart, who they drafted 16th overall, and they have Saddiq Bey, who they drafted 19th overall.

They also have Saben Lee, whom they drafted 38th overall with a pick they acquired from the Utah Jazz in their trade for Tony Bradley (who was traded thereafter for Zhaire Smith, who they are expected to waive and stretch).

As far as their free agent signings, new to town are Jerami Grant, Mason Plumlee, Jahlil Okafor and Josh Jackson. Acquired via trade are Delon Wright (via the Trevor Ariza trade, which appears to have been an excellent piece of business from the Pistons), Rodney McGruder and Dzanan Musa.

Considering how active the Pistons have been so far in the offseason, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see things change in the coming hours and days.
