Goran Dragic: 2 years, $37.4 million (Miami Heat)

The Miami Heat and Goran Dragic are the first ones on the board as Dragic signed a $37.4 million contract over two seasons to stay with the Heat. Because the Heat would like to stay in the mix for Giannis Antetokounmpo in free agency next offseason, it’s likely the second year of this contract is either a team option or partially guaranteed.

Dragic had a fantastic run in the NBA bubble and the playoffs before suffering a foot injury in the Finals and missing most of the Heat’s matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s been an absolute warrior for the Heat and has earned this payday. Assuming the Heat have built-in that second-year protection, this is a great deal for both parties.

Along with Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Duncan Robinson, Dragic’s return should ensure the Miami Heat are a dangerous contender for the Eastern Conference title once again.

Breaking: Per report from Heat beat writer Anthony Chiang, Dragic will earn $18 million in year one, and the $19.5 million in year two will come in the form of a team option,
