  • De’Anthony Melton: 4 years, $35 million (Memphis Grizzlies)

De’Anthony Melton re-signed with the Memphis Grizzlies on a four-year, $35 million contract. Seems a big steep but there may be a team option in that fourth year. Nonetheless, I am not the biggest fan of this deal.

Grade: C-

  • Maurice Harkless: 1 year, $3.6 million (Miami Heat)

The Miami Heat keep building their versatile and cost-effective roster as they amp up to defend the Eastern Conference title. Harkless was a component in the sign-and-trade that brought Jimmy Butler to Miami, so it’s only fitting that the two will now be teammates.

Grade: B

  • D.J. Augustin: 3 years, $21 million (Milwaukee Bucks)

The Milwaukee Bucks added to their backcourt depth by signing D.J. Augustin to a three-year, $21 million deal. It seems like maybe a tad much, but Augustin probably had a reasonable market. Either way, the number is not great, but it’s fine.

Grade: C+

  • Kris Dunn: 2 years, $10 million (Atlanta Hawks)

The Atlanta Hawks continue to do interesting things this offseason, signing a defense-first guard in Kris Dunn. He’s a liability on offense, but the Hawks need at least one player who can play a lick of defense, and the price is right. Not bad here for Atlanta.
