Jordan Clarkson: 4 years, $52 million (Utah Jazz)

The Utah Jazz made a solid value deal when they re-signed Jordan Clarkson to a four-year, $52 million contract. Last season he averaged 15.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in his 42 appearances in Utah after being acquired via trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Clarkson provides depth in the backcourt behind Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley, and can play alongside either of them as well. He gets more years than you might expect, but it’s safe to assume that the fourth year is either a team option or nonguaranteed.

Patrick Patterson: One-year deal (LA Clippers)

Patrick Patterson will be returning to the LA Clippers for what will reportedly be a veteran minimum contract. He appeared in 59 games last season but played just 13.2 minutes per appearance, averaging 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

He can be expected to provide frontcourt depth and can space the floor thanks to shooting 39.0 percent from 3-point range.

For what appears to be a cheap deal, you can’t go too far wrong with maintaining a reliable veteran presence like Patrick Patterson.
