To keep up with every deal, this is Hoops Habit’s 2020 NBA free agency tracker. We’ll provide grades and commentary on each reported contract, so check back frequently.

The NBA free agency period caps one of the craziest weeks in the history of the league. Thanks to the 2019-20 season being suspended due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and resumed months later in a safe bubble environment in Orlando, the 2020 offseason was pushed back.

Not only was it pushed back, but the NBA draft and the commencement of free agency were jammed into a two-day period, significantly less than the usual couple of weeks that teams get to conduct their planning and strategy.

It’s been a frantic time, and when free agency opens on Friday night, you can expect things will get only more hectic. As a result, we’re going to bring back the Hoops Habit NBA free agency tracker in order to help you (and us, for that matter) parse through what is sure to be an incredible blast of signings and data.

As the night and weekend go on, make sure to keep checking back in here as we keep you up to date on the insanity that is NBA free agency in the year 2020. We’ll be breaking down each signing and grading each deal.

There are countless moving parts this free agency period, with Christian Wood being a possible candidate to depart the Detroit Pistons, and Gordon Hayward declining his player option on Thursday, among many others. Without further ado, let’s get this party started.
