SF. 3. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. G-League. Jonathan Kuminga. player. 84

Jonathan Kuminga is a lengthy wing with freakish athleticism. He plays much of his game above the rim, using his insane explosiveness to get him there. His ability to knock down long range shots must be respected, which makes his blow-bys even more lethal. He can excel as an initiator of the offense, and has play making abilities off of the dribble as well. Kuminga has a unique skill set and plenty of upside, though some of his game may need a bit of polishing. His frame will allow for the potential for him to develop in to a high quality defensive piece as well.

The 6’7″ wing from Congo is slated to play for the Ignite of the NBA G League alongside Jalen Green.

The Kings could very well wind up being the worst team in the Western Conference this upcoming season, and could use any of the top talent in the 2021 class to help with their impending rebuild.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wing. Jalen Johnson. 170. Duke. 4. player

Jalen Johnson is another one of the athletic freaks that is a projected lottery pick in 2021.

Listed at 6’8″, Johnson’s natural position is small forward. But due to his solid instincts and play making skills, he is more of a point forward than a traditional wing. He has a high basketball IQ and is a good passer from anywhere on the floor. Johnson has one of the most NBA-ready bodies of any of the potential lottery selections, and uses his length and strength to be a versatile threat on both ends.

The area that Johnson will need the most improvement is in his shooting, where he has proved to be very inconsistent. Perhaps some time under Coach K at Duke will help in that regard, or else he may have a red flag attached to his name on NBA big boards.

The Charlotte Hornets showed areas of marginal improvement last season, but not enough to get them out of any upcoming lotteries. Adding a talented wing from a school just down the road is the path they take in this scenario.
