The Golden State Warriors have been devastated with injury news once again. Per report, Klay Thompson will miss the season with a torn Achilles.

Since moving into the Chase Center in San Francisco, the Golden State Warriors have been absolutely snakebitten by injuries. If it wasn’t so devastatingly tragic, it would be almost comical. In the 2018-19 NBA Finals, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson both suffered injuries that would keep them out for all of 2019-20, and in the early stages of last season, Stephen Curry suffered an injury that caused him to miss most of the campaign.

We were almost ready to see all three of them on the floor with their respective teams (as we all know, Kevin Durant went to the Brooklyn Nets in free agency) when next season begins in just a month.

Unfortunately, the basketball gods (or whatever name you want to call these mischievous imps who decide who plays and who gets hurt) had other plans in mind for Klay Thompson, as per report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, he suffered a torn Achilles which will cause him to miss all of the 2020-21 season as well.

It’s a devastating blow for the Warriors franchise which was looking to rebound into the ranks of the title contenders after being the worst team in the NBA with just 15 wins last season. It’s also a horrific turn for Thompson, who in addition to being one of the best players and most deadly shooters in the NBA, just happens to be one of the best people out there as well.

As for the Warriors’ outlook for the coming season, everything has changed. Instead of having Curry, Klay and  Draymond Green back together again along with Andrew Wiggins and No. 2 overall NBA draft pick James Wiseman, the organization will have some decisions to make about their direction going forward without one of the Splash Brothers.
