Mock NBA Draft 6.0: Will Anthony Edwards go first in the final mock draft?
By Corey Rausch
An absolute steal for the Philadelphia 76ers at this point in the draft. Tyrese Maxey is a hardworking defender and scorer who can finish well at rim. His shooting efficiency needs to improve but the mechanics are sound and his defensive will carry him for the time being.
Always assume the Denver Nuggets are going to take a chance on raw talent and make the most of it. It has happened with Bol Bol and Michael Porter Jr. Jaden McDaniels comes with the same upside without the injury concerns. He is simply raw and needs to be developed. If he pops the ceiling for this team only gets higher.
This stays the same as the week before. Robert Woodard II feels like a perfect fit for the Utah Jazz system. Every team is picking between a variety of 3-and-D wings and Woodard is the Utah-type. He is all about team and will grind on the defensive end of the ball. He will be able to work alongside Rudy Gobert to improve the team’s chances on that side of the ball. He also shot 42.9 percent from distance, which is always a plus.
Adding even more spacing with the extra first round pick, Josh Green excels in a spot-up role. That will be essential on a team with so many ball-dominant forces. He can guard multiple positions, fitting well alongside the newly acquired Eric Bledsoe. Green checks all the boxes as an interesting role player on this young team.
The OKC Thunder have been connected to Aleksej Pokusevski throughout this process and as they enter a rebuild they can afford to take a risk or two. Especially with an additional first-rounder this season (and roughly every first-rounder for the next 10 seasons) taking a chance on potential here is a no-brainer. Pokusevski is extremely lean and will take time to be ready to even see the floor. The Thunder have all the time in the world.
