Best NBA Draft Lottery pick: Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James

As was the case over with Rose and the Bulls, some players are just meant to play for a certain team. While LeBron James wound up playing for two more teams, he was meant to begin his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and reignite a once laughingstock team.

Not many athletes in sports all-time have had quite an impact on a team as LeBron had on the Cavaliers. LeBron turned a once losing Cavs team into a team merely playing in the NBA Finals within four years.

LeBron’s run over the 2006-2007 season where he led the Cavaliers to their first trip to the NBA Finals is surely among the greatest accomplishments by a player in league history considering the circumstances.

Of course, LeBron’s astounding achievements with the Cavaliers do not end there. From his quadruple of NBA MVP wins to multiple 60-win seasons, LeBron had quite a run with his boyhood team over his first and second stints with them.

More so, LeBron’s NBA championship-winning run in 2016 was the icing on the cake to his Cavaliers tenure. Every NBA Hall of Famer has that one landmark moment in their career that essentially establishes their legacy, and for LeBron, coming back from down 3-1 in the NBA Finals against the 2015-2016 Golden State Warriors team is one for the ages.

Once LeBron decides to hang up his boots and retire, it will only be a matter of time before the Cavs decide to call the four-time NBA champion for the jersey retirement and statue unveiling ceremonies.
