NBA Draft: Every team’s best all-time selection in the lottery

Best NBA Draft Lottery pick: Chicago Bulls, Derrick Rose
There are just some athletes who are meant to play for a specific team in the NBA. Whether it is due to the city that the team is in or for a special connection, it is simply a must for a select number of players to go on and suit up for a certain franchise. And for Derrick Rose, that team was clearly the Chicago Bulls.
When the Bulls won the 2008 NBA Draft Lottery and Rose decided to declare for the draft, it was inevitable that the point guard would go on to play for his boyhood team. And not only did Rose play for the Bulls, but he cheered up a fanbase that had just endured a decade of lowly and disappointing play from their team.
Rose electrified Bulls fans with his exhilarating play as a point guard. He enamored those watching with his bursting on-ball pace and sheer ability to outmatch defenders. There was really no such thing as a mismatch for Rose during his prime days. Opposing point guards had a difficult time containing his pace and often just watched him speed on by to the basket.
Unfortunately for Rose, many look back at his time with the Bulls creating what-if scenarios due to the multiple injuries that halted his run to superstardom. Rose did win an NBA MVP award and earned multiple All-Star Game selections. But had it not been for the multiple season-ending injuries, Rose’s run with the Bulls may have been one that would have had a ring or two.
