Tyrese Maxey, Desmond Bane, Immanuel Quickley, and Cole Anthony are amongst other notable stars entering the draft

There are other picks in this draft that draw attention, and they’re all guards, which brings some hope to the lottery teams that are left and in need of guards like the Celtics and Bucks.

The draftees that come to mind here are Tyrese Maxey, Desmond Bane, Immanuel Quickley, and Cole Anthony.

Maxey is a talented 6’3″ guard who could draw early attention from teams right out of the lottery, such as the Magic.

Bane’s name comes to mind when I think of a guard with draft potential; he is a skilled and bulky 6’6″ guard who will get you a bucket. Isaiah Thomas or Kyle Lowry come to mind in terms of comparisons here (although Bane is much larger), but hopefully, Bane doesn’t fall as late as the 60th pick when we think he is a Top 25 pick. Also, Thomas’ former team comes to mind, the Celtics, when thinking of Bane as they are in need of a backup point guard for Kemba Walker.

Quickley seems to be the most underrated out of all guards listed here. Immanuel is a lengthy 6’3″ guard who, like his last name, is quick and has potential. He has a lot of energy and is waiting to put it to use.

Anthony’s name rings a bell for many, as the 6’3″ guard out of North Carolina. Anthony drew attention in college early, and his entering into the draft is a boost. Many teams will be happy to have a guard who they know can score consistently.
